Notices & Reminders

From this week, all children in Year 3 will receive weekly spellings to ensure full coverage of the New National Curriculum. Please note the importance of learning the spelling pattern and not just the words themselves, as some children simply learn for the test and fail to apply what they have learnt in their writing. Spellings will be given out and tested each Friday in school. To make spellings fun, school has invested in this online interactive resource, that your child can access in school and at home. Your child has been shown how to access their online spelling lists and if required paper copies are available for your child to collect in class.

Water Bottles, Snack & Milk

All children are encouraged to bring in a water bottle with a secure lid, preferably pull-top, to consume in class. If you wish, you may send your child in with a healthy snack and milk is also available to order from the main office.

Rapid Recall

Rapid Recall will begin this week and continue from the step that your child was on in Year 2. Don't forget to work with your child on their Rapid Recall step. Do you know where your child is up to? If not, please make contact with your child's class teacher who will be happy to assist.

Recycle Your Junk

Yr3 greatly appreciates junk and any you have at home, that could be used by the children in class to junk model, is warmly welcomed by all class teachers. You will be surprised at how good junk can look once the children have finished with it!
