Instrumental Lessons & Enrichment

- Over 400 children are learning to play instruments with peripatetic teachers. This includes guitars, woodwind, brass, violin, viola, cello, percussion, drumkit, keyboard and singing lessons.

- Every child who attends Beaver Road will learn to read notation, compose music and play the recorder.

- We have a large Senior Choir and a Junior Choir for Year 3 pupils

Singing School

Benefits: Confidence building; class building; develop a year group identity; performance opportunities; learning opportunities (curriculum links); enrichment (EAL and vulnerable children), excellence and enjoyment for pupils and staff!

- One song per year group each half term.

- Performed as a singing square in the hall at the end of each half term.

- Workshops/performances in school - links with RNCM, Cheethams Music School and Manchester Music Hub.

- Big Sing at the Bridgewater Hall (Year 6)

- Links with charities (Christie Hospital concerts, fundraising events for Francis House)

- Carol singing in the local community
